There is no better memory a chef can leave behind then one of his favorite recipes. Bernt, written on an old receipt, gave us something unforgettable.

Of course we have lots of memories when we think of Bernt, and often we talk about his food and question his recipes...
"Remember how he made this?"
"You think that we can make that?"
"Can you believe we'll never have that again?"
"Oh how I can eat that now!"

Well he has left us with one, his Coconut Curry recipe, that was famously served with shrimp! Yes we serve it in Tropics Cafe....in his honor....but now we'll share it with you.
While cooking it at home, it might not taste exactly the same, but the flavors will surly bring back memories of Bernt's smile.
Enjoy!

Fond memories of the big guy and the times spent with him. Whether it was laughter & chats over the odd beer, my frequent vists to the Ecolodge (definitely my favourite chef/ place to eat) or just passing by in the street. A top bloke with a big heart and an even bigger smile. Rest in peace big guy x

This is a touching tribute to Bernt and his love for cooking. It's heartwarming to see that his memory lives on through his delicious recipe, and that it's being shared with others. I can only imagine how wonderful it must have been to taste Bernt's Coconut Curry with shrimp, and I look forward to trying out this recipe myself.
